Panther Matumona is where vigour meets depth & emotion. An innovator on the Montreal scene, Panther is redefining Hip-Hop with his productions – taking the building blocks of R&B and Rap and deftly reconstructing them with an eclectic twist. The multi-instrumentalist with an iconic sandpaper voice delivers head spinning flows, punctuated by growls, giving way to velvety vocals all while you’re losing yourself to the beat. Reflective lyrics paired with a hard delivery. The merger is not accidental. It’s all Panther. 

Panther Matumona, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and Hip-Hop producer, has honed a musical experience with the energy of an iconic one man show. Taking elements from both live instrumentation and electronic music, Panther Matumona prides himself on being at the cutting edge of modern rap music production as well as creating poignant lyrics aimed at the awakened soul. Raised in Vancouver BC, Panther Matumona built his reputation one show at a time, going on to perform sold out shows and gaining a solid following of excited turnup fans and clarity seekers in the process. In the media, Panther was featured on front covers and was positively reviewed in coveted magazines. 

Panther is undoubtedly skilled in the studio, but his passion for performing is obvious to anyone who has seen him anywhere around the world. He alone can draw the audience in and take them on a journey of rapid-fire verses and velvety vocals. His is a soul meant for storytelling and his honest commitment to “Doing It Yourself” can’t lose. As Panther spent his time working to perfect his self-produced sound, powerful drums with colourful transporting melodies and creative message, he also was featured on many collaborations that allowed him to gain a larger fanbase internationally. 

Panther Matumona has gained support from artists such as Snails, with tracks mixed live by Skrillex at Red Rocks Theatre, collaborations with notable artists, earned track placements in the blockbuster "Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw", "John Wick 2", "The Kinsmen" as well as the Finale of the HBO show "Ballers" and UFC Fight trailers. With many performances across Canada & Europe, ranging from the Shambhala Music Festival in BC, and Red Club In Moscow to Pop Montreal in Quebec, Panther Matumona has performed with such notable artists as Freddie Gibbs, Ab- Soul, BTSM, Joey Bada$$, Underacheivers, The Beatnuts, Apashe, Snails ONYX Daz, Kurupt, and Snoop Dogg.
